  • Work together to fi nd and circle each exclamation point in the issue.
  • Then use a different color marker to find and circle each question mark.

Hands-on Activity: Make Earth Day Crayons

Materials: Make Earth Day Crayons instruction sheet, old crayons, muffin tin

  • Children learned from the issue that it’s important to save paper. Now teach them that it’s important to save crayons, too!
  • Have kids sort out any broken or too-short crayons in your classroom supply. Then follow the steps on the sheet.
  • Children can help with steps like removing the wrappers and placing the crayons in the tin.
  • When finished, make art with your new crayons!
