Examples of thank you letters

Materials: paper (regular, construction, chart, or craft), pencils, markers

  • In school: Choose a group of workers you’d like to thank. You can take a class vote! Write a letter as a class on chart paper. Use the magazine for ideas on what to write. For example, you might thank sanitation workers for keeping the streets clean and thank nurses for caring for people when they are sick. Then send or bring the letter to hospitals, stores, and so on.
  • At home: Write individual letters or create posters to thank workers in your community. Hang your thank-yous on your doors or in your windows to show your appreciation!
