  • Work together to find and circle every word in the issue that has letters ll.
  • Practice reading the words with students. Ask, ¿Cómo suena la doble l en español?

Hands-on Activity: ¡Diseña un animal marino!

Materials: paper, crayons

  • Children learned that a caballito de mar isn’t really a horse—it’s a sea animal that looks a little like a horse!
  • Invite children to make up their own sea animal (such as a cerdo marino or a perro marino) and draw it.
  • Then have them fi nish this sentence: ¡Los _____ marinos _____ en el mar!
