  • Watch our video Los sonidos de la primavera. Ask children, ¿Creen que ya es primavera? ¿Cómo podemos saber que ya es primavera donde vivimos?
  • Read the mini book together.
  • Then do the Demuestra lo que sabes skill sheet as a followup activity. You can project it and discuss the questions together, or send it home for kids to work on with families.

Materials: Paseo de primavera por la naturaleza skill sheet, pencils, crayons

  • Go for a scientific walk outside! Give each child a skill sheet, a pencil, and a writing surface.
  • Then take your walk and invite kids to look for the signs of spring on the sheet: a cloud, an insect, a bird, and a flower. Remind children that each of these things can come in different shapes and colors!
  • Children can check off each thing they see. Back in class, they can use crayons to show what theirs looked like.
  • Let children compare their observations to see how much variety spring brings!
